Rest in Peace - Mrs. Brown
One of my next door neighbors from the place where I grew up, just passed away. They've been great neighbors for 35 years, if you can believe it.
Mrs. Brown was a combination of strong and friendly. I always thought of her as being totally confident and in control and quite intelligent, too. At the same time, she was very friendly and easy to make friends with.
It's always bittersweet when someone passes away. On the sweet side, you get to speak with family of the deceased person, who you may not normally keep in touch with. This evening when I spoke with her husband, son and daughter, both of who are in my age group, I felt really happy to speak to them. There's no reason why we don't keep in touch except for the fact that people naturally drift apart as we each find our path's in life. Sometimes, out of sight is out of mind.
