New camera - Panasonic Lumix DMC- FZ50

I picked up the new camera for the office, the Panasonic Lumix DMC- FZ50. It's considered to be a "bridge" camera, in between a point-and-shoot and a digital SLR, the latter of which start at several hundred of dollars.

I outfitted it with a UV filer and a 4 GB SDHC card. After taking dozens of photos, I ended up with something like 3200 more shots available on the camera. It has a Leica lens and a zoom lens that is equal to about 420mm, in the 35 mm film world. I would consider buying the updated version for myself. I found this beauty while researching cameras at DPReview.com.

$549 camera, $129 UV filter, $99 4 GB SDHC card.
